Destination Guide

Thailand offers banking, financial services, fintech, technology, tourism, healthcare, education, and international business opportunities, with Bangkok serving as the main professional hub. Island locations such as Phuket, Koh Samui, and Koh Phangan provide a slower lifestyle, beaches, outdoor activities, and strong hospitality and tourism economies, although senior banking roles are less common there than in Bangkok. Thai culture values politeness, respect for hierarchy, family, and community. Living costs vary considerably: Bangkok and Phuket are generally more expensive, while smaller islands may offer lower daily costs but fewer services. Foreign employees normally need a Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit sponsored by an employer. Relocating requires documented qualifications, a job offer, health and tax paperwork, and careful planning for housing, transport, banking, and healthcare. Learning basic Thai is highly useful for daily life and workplace integration.
