Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with opportunities in banking, fintech, technology, hospitality, tourism, logistics, healthcare and professional services. English is widely used, and the culture combines Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, reflected in its food, festivals and neighbourhoods. Public transport is efficient, while housing and dining costs vary considerably by location and lifestyle. Popular areas include Marina Bay, Orchard, Tiong Bahru, Bugis and the East Coast. International students and interns should check whether their employer provides a Training Employment Pass, Work Holiday Pass or another suitable work authorization; eligibility depends on nationality, education and programme details. A valid passport, confirmed accommodation and adequate funds are advisable before arrival. Singapore is safe and convenient, but accommodation can be expensive, so budgeting and early housing searches are recommended.
