Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, fintech, technology, data analytics, compliance, consulting, logistics, healthcare, and regional headquarters functions. The city is multicultural, safe, efficient, and highly connected, with English widely used in business. Lifestyle options range from modern shopping districts and international restaurants to hawker centres, parks, beaches, and cultural neighbourhoods. Housing can be expensive, especially in central areas, so many professionals choose locations near MRT lines outside the city centre. Public transport is reliable, while healthcare and public services are well developed. Foreign professionals generally need an Employment Pass, sponsored by their employer, with eligibility based on qualifications, salary, and relevant experience. Dependants may qualify for related passes. Relocating employees should budget for rent, deposits, insurance, schooling if applicable, and moving costs. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain.
