Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers varied employment opportunities across retail, healthcare, technology, logistics and professional services. It combines cities with historic towns, coastal communities and countryside, while Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland each have distinct cultures and languages. Holyhead is a smaller Welsh port town on Anglesey, known for coastal scenery, outdoor activities and links to Ireland; living costs are generally lower than in major UK cities, though transport and housing availability should be checked locally. The lifestyle is usually work-focused but balanced by strong community life, sports and access to nature. Applicants normally need the right to work in the UK. Irish citizens can generally live and work under the Common Travel Area. Other nationals may require a visa, such as a Skilled Worker visa, if the employer, occupation and salary meet current requirements. Pharmacists may also need GPhC registration and recognised qualifications.
