Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities in technology, product management, retail, data, engineering, finance and customer experience, especially in London, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Workplaces are generally professional, collaborative and respectful of personal time, with a growing acceptance of hybrid working. The lifestyle combines historic cities, reliable public services, diverse communities, countryside and extensive cultural activities, although housing and transport can be expensive in major cities. Relocating workers should budget for rent deposits, council tax, utilities and healthcare-related costs. Visa-free work is generally limited to British and Irish citizens. Other applicants may need a Skilled Worker visa sponsored by an eligible employer, meeting occupation, salary and English-language requirements. Check current UK government rules, as salary thresholds and eligibility can change. A job offer, visa approval and suitable accommodation should normally be arranged before relocation.
