Destination Guide

The United Kingdom, made up of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, offers strong opportunities in retail, technology, product management, logistics, data and e-commerce, especially in London, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham and Edinburgh. British workplace culture generally values punctuality, professionalism, personal responsibility and clear communication, while teams are increasingly diverse and flexible. Lifestyle options range from major-city arts, dining and nightlife to quieter coastal and countryside communities. Living costs are highest in London and the South East; transport, rent and childcare should be budgeted carefully. EU and other international applicants normally need the appropriate immigration permission. A Skilled Worker visa may be possible where the employer sponsors an eligible role and the applicant meets salary, skills and English-language requirements. Candidates should check Tesco’s sponsorship position and current UK visa rules before relocating.
