Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers opportunities in retail, healthcare, technology, logistics, finance, hospitality and skilled professional services. Its culture combines historic traditions with diverse communities, regional identities and a strong emphasis on personal privacy and punctuality. Lifestyle varies from busy cities such as London and Manchester to quieter towns and countryside, with generally good public transport, healthcare access and cultural activities. Housing and living costs are highest in London and parts of southern England, while northern regions can be more affordable. Citizens of the UK and Ireland have unrestricted work rights. Other nationals normally need a visa and must meet immigration, sponsorship and salary requirements; pharmacists may qualify for relevant skilled-worker routes, but sponsorship for a particular Tesco position is not guaranteed. Before relocating, check GOV.UK rules, professional registration requirements, accommodation costs, tax, National Insurance and healthcare arrangements. Weather is changeable, and workplace communication is usually professional, polite and collaborative.
