Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities in software engineering, retail technology, cloud computing, data and digital product development, particularly in London, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Its culture is diverse and generally values punctuality, privacy, direct but polite communication and work-life balance. Lifestyle options range from busy city living to quieter coastal and rural communities, with extensive public transport and cultural activities. Living costs are highest in London and the southeast, while many regional cities are more affordable. Overseas applicants normally need an approved work visa, commonly the Skilled Worker visa, and must meet salary and sponsorship requirements. Tesco’s current sponsorship eligibility should be confirmed directly. Relocation planning should include accommodation, tax, healthcare registration, banking and national insurance arrangements.
