Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers opportunities in retail, pharmacy, healthcare, technology, logistics, finance, hospitality and education. Its culture combines historic traditions with diverse cities, multicultural communities and a strong interest in sport, music and the arts. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in London, Manchester or Birmingham to quieter towns and countryside. Public transport is widely available, though costs can be high, especially for housing in major cities. Overseas professionals normally need the appropriate visa and may require professional registration; pharmacists must register with the General Pharmaceutical Council. A Skilled Worker visa may be possible where the employer, role and salary meet current immigration rules, but eligibility should be checked before accepting an offer. Relocating involves arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, banking, healthcare access and proof of right to work. Aylesbury is a market town in Buckinghamshire with rail links to London and nearby employment centres.
