Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, safe, and highly connected city-state with opportunities in aviation, technology, finance, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, and food services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in festivals, neighbourhoods, and famous hawker food. Life is convenient, though rent and daily expenses can be high. Public transport is efficient, and most areas are reachable by MRT or bus. Popular destinations include Marina Bay, Sentosa, Chinatown, Little India, East Coast Park, and Pulau Ubin. Interns commonly live in shared apartments or student residences near an MRT station. Foreign students should confirm whether the internship requires a Training Employment Pass, Training Work Permit, or another approved arrangement; eligibility depends on programme, nationality, and employer requirements. Secure the correct pass before starting work, arrange accommodation early, and budget for housing, transport, food, insurance, and deposits.
