Destination Guide

Spain’s main island job markets are the Balearic Islands, including Mallorca, Ibiza, and Menorca, and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura. Opportunities are strongest in tourism, hospitality, logistics, retail, transport, customer service, and sales, with international companies often needing multilingual staff. Island life offers a warm climate, outdoor activities, relaxed communities, and strong local traditions, although housing can be expensive in popular tourist areas and seasonal work is common. Spanish is important for customer-facing roles; English and other languages are valuable. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can live and work in Spain with registration requirements. Non-EU nationals generally need an appropriate work visa or residence permit arranged with an employer. Candidates should confirm the island, salary, accommodation, transport, and relocation support before accepting an offer.
