Destination Guide

Spain’s islands offer opportunities in logistics, tourism, retail, aviation, transport, hospitality, healthcare and customer service. The Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza—have strong seasonal employment, while the Canary Islands provide year-round tourism, distribution and transport roles. Island culture is relaxed and community-oriented, with Spanish traditions, local festivals, seafood and outdoor activities such as beaches, hiking and water sports. Lifestyle can be attractive, although housing may be expensive in Palma, Ibiza, Tenerife and Las Palmas, especially during peak season. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work in Spain after registering locally and obtaining the required identification documentation. Non-EU nationals generally need a work visa or residence-and-work permit arranged with an employer. Candidates should confirm the exact island, contract terms, transport options and accommodation before relocating.
