Destination Guide

Malaysia offers strong opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, engineering, technology, shared services, and supply-chain management, particularly around Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor, and major port areas. For an island lifestyle, Penang combines beaches, heritage neighborhoods, excellent food, and a growing industrial and technology sector; Langkawi is quieter and more tourism-focused. Malaysian culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous influences, and English is widely used in professional settings. Living costs are moderate compared with many international business hubs, though central Kuala Lumpur and popular parts of Penang are more expensive. Foreign employees generally need an Employment Pass sponsored by their employer, with approval handled through Malaysian immigration authorities. Candidates should arrange accommodation, medical coverage, tax registration, banking, and document legalization before relocating.
