Destination Guide

Malaysia is a multicultural country with strong opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, technology, shared services, tourism, healthcare, and finance. Kuala Lumpur and Selangor offer the largest employment market, while Penang and Johor are important centres for electronics, manufacturing, ports, and regional trade. The culture blends Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences, with Bahasa Malaysia as the official language and English widely used in business. Living costs vary, with Kuala Lumpur generally more expensive than smaller cities. Residents enjoy diverse food, tropical weather, modern shopping, beaches, forests, and convenient public transport in major urban areas. Foreign workers normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate employment pass before starting work; requirements depend on nationality, salary, and job type. Candidates should confirm visa, medical, tax, and relocation conditions directly with DHL and Malaysian authorities.
