Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities in logistics, transport, warehousing, aviation, technology, healthcare, finance and professional services. Major employment centres include London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Glasgow and Belfast, while logistics roles are also common near airports, ports and large distribution hubs. British culture is generally polite, diverse and accustomed to international communities. Life combines busy cities with accessible countryside, historic towns and extensive public transport, although housing and commuting costs can be high in some areas. Most overseas workers need permission to work, commonly through the Skilled Worker route when the role and employer meet sponsorship requirements; eligibility depends on occupation, salary and immigration rules. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens generally need a visa unless they hold settled or pre-settled status. Applicants should confirm sponsorship, right-to-work conditions, accommodation and healthcare arrangements before relocating.
