Destination Guide

Australia is an island continent with strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, healthcare, construction, technology and agriculture. Gold Coast hospitality roles are especially common during peak holiday periods and suit people who enjoy beach living, outdoor activities and a relaxed but active lifestyle. Australian workplace culture is generally informal, multicultural and focused on punctuality, safety, teamwork and fair employment conditions. Common visa options include the Working Holiday Maker visa for eligible passport holders, employer-sponsored visas and student visas with limited work rights. Requirements and work limits vary by nationality and visa type, so applicants should check the Australian Department of Home Affairs before travelling. Relocation costs should include flights, temporary accommodation, rental bond, transport, health insurance and tax registration. The Gold Coast has good public transport, but living close to the resort or having reliable transport can be helpful for early and late shifts.
