Company Info

The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort is a luxury island resort operated by Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. Located on Vommuli Island in the Dhaalu Atoll, the resort offers elegant villas, private pools, fine dining, spa experiences, water activities, and personalized butler service. St. Regis is recognized for refined service, distinctive luxury, and traditions such as afternoon tea and the signature St. Regis Bloody Mary. Employees work in an international resort environment serving leisure travelers, honeymooners, and high-end holiday guests. Marriott generally provides structured training, global service standards, and opportunities to develop a hospitality career. Resort employment packages in the Maldives commonly include staff accommodation, meals, transportation, medical support, and service-charge participation, although benefits vary according to the employment contract and position.

Destination Guide

The Maldives offers hospitality opportunities in resorts, restaurants, marine activities, housekeeping, engineering, wellness, and guest services, with many jobs available to international workers. Resort life is different from living in Malé or a local island: employees usually live on a private staff island or designated staff accommodation, with meals, uniforms, and basic facilities provided. The culture is welcoming and strongly influenced by Islam, so modest clothing and respect for local customs are important when visiting local communities. The lifestyle is tropical, scenic, and social, but work can be demanding, with long shifts and limited shopping or nightlife. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and valid employment approval before working; tourist visas do not authorize employment. Employers commonly arrange airport transfers and relocation details, but candidates should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, medical cover, leave, and contract terms before travel.
