Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hotel, tourism, retail, aviation, restaurant, and service-sector jobs. The country is highly multicultural, and English is widely used in hotels and workplaces, while Arabic is the official language. Life is modern and convenient, with excellent shopping, public transport, beaches, desert activities, and international communities. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor facilities and air-conditioning are central to daily life. Hospitality jobs commonly provide a work visa, medical insurance, accommodation or a housing allowance, transport, meals, and annual air travel, although packages vary by employer. The employer normally sponsors the visa after contract approval and medical checks. Candidates should verify salary, working hours, benefits, probation, accommodation, and recruitment fees before relocating. Dubai living costs can be high, particularly for private housing.
