Destination Guide

Malaysia offers hospitality opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah, and Sarawak, with demand for chefs, hotel staff, restaurant workers, and tourism professionals. Putrajaya is not an island; it is a modern, planned city near Kuala Lumpur, known for government buildings, lakes, parks, and relatively calm surroundings. Malaysia’s culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Indigenous influences, and English is commonly used in hotels. Lifestyle costs are generally moderate, although central Kuala Lumpur and resort islands can be more expensive. Employees should confirm whether accommodation, meals, transport, medical coverage, and service charge are included. Foreign workers normally require employer sponsorship and an approved employment pass or relevant work permit before starting employment. Requirements vary by nationality and role, so check current Malaysian immigration rules and obtain official approval before relocating.
