Destination Guide

Fiji offers hospitality opportunities in resorts, hotels, restaurants, tourism activities, cruise services, aviation, retail, and supporting business services. Denarau and Nadi provide many of the country’s largest tourism employers, while the Coral Coast, Suva, and outer islands offer additional roles. Fijian culture is welcoming and community-oriented, with strong traditions of respect, family, music, dance, and communal meals. Life is generally relaxed, tropical, and outdoors-focused, although imported goods and accommodation near resort areas can be expensive. Foreign applicants normally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment; requirements can include a contract, qualifications, police clearance, medical checks, and immigration approval. Relocation packages vary, so candidates should confirm housing, flights, insurance, meals, taxes, and permit costs. Nadi provides international connections, while local transport and healthcare access may be more limited on smaller islands.
