Company Info

Courtyard by Marriott Setia Alam is a contemporary business and leisure hotel in Selangor, Malaysia, serving corporate travellers, families, and visitors attending events in the surrounding area. It operates under Courtyard by Marriott, a global hotel brand within Marriott International, one of the world's largest hospitality companies. Courtyard properties generally focus on practical comfort, reliable service, modern rooms, dining facilities, meeting spaces, and convenient access for both short and extended stays. Marriott promotes hospitality, teamwork, ethical conduct, inclusion, and opportunities for employee development across its hotels. At Setia Alam, employees work in a multicultural environment supporting hotel operations, guest satisfaction, financial controls, and brand standards. Benefits and conditions vary by position and should be confirmed directly with the property during recruitment.

Destination Guide

Malaysia offers opportunities in hospitality, finance, retail, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, and education. Setia Alam is on Peninsular Malaysia, near Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur, rather than on a separate island; popular island destinations include Langkawi, Penang, Tioman, and parts of Sabah and Sarawak. The culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian, indigenous, and international influences, and English is widely used in business and hotels. Lifestyle options range from urban shopping and public transport to beaches, nature, and affordable local food. Foreign employees generally need an employment pass sponsored by the hiring company, while dependants may require separate passes. Employers normally handle much of the application process, but approval depends on immigration rules and qualifications. Relocating workers should budget for housing deposits, transport, insurance, and documentation, and verify visa terms before accepting an offer.
