Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai offering the broadest hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, and business opportunities. Yas Island is a major leisure destination known for hotels, theme parks, beaches, restaurants, shopping, and motorsport events. Life is modern, safe, and convenient, although accommodation and transport costs can be high. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest dress, respect for local customs, and awareness of Islamic holidays are important. Employers generally sponsor work visas, residence permits, medical checks, and Emirates ID processing for overseas hires. Confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, flights, probation terms, and gratuity before relocating. Public transport is improving, while taxis and cars remain common. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor facilities and air-conditioning are central to daily life.
