Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular relocation destination with extensive coastal communities and island developments, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hospitality offers strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism and revenue management, with international brands frequently recruiting experienced professionals. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values and a highly international population; respectful dress and conduct are important, particularly during Ramadan. Lifestyle options range from beaches, malls and restaurants to desert excursions, watersports and cultural attractions. Employers normally sponsor work visas for overseas hires, including medical testing, Emirates ID processing and residency formalities. Candidates should confirm whether housing, transport, insurance, flights and gratuity are included in the offer. Dubai has a high cost of living, so accommodation and overall benefits should be reviewed carefully before relocating.
