Destination Guide

The Cayman Islands offer employment opportunities in tourism, hotels, restaurants, watersports, finance, retail, healthcare, construction, and professional services. Grand Cayman has a multicultural community, English as the official language, and a relaxed but polished lifestyle centered on beaches, boating, diving, dining, and outdoor activities. The islands are safe and well connected, although housing, groceries, transportation, and utilities can be expensive. Employees should confirm whether accommodation, health insurance, flights, or service charges are included in their package. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment. Employers must normally demonstrate that a suitable Caymanian or eligible resident is not available, and approval is handled through the Cayman Islands immigration and workforce authorities. Candidates should secure a written offer, clarify permit responsibility, and budget for relocation costs. Grand Cayman is the main employment center, while Cayman Brac and Little Cayman offer smaller, quieter communities and fewer job openings.
