Company Info

Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is a major five-star property in Doha, Qatar, operating under the Sheraton brand of Marriott International. The resort combines guest accommodation, restaurants, leisure facilities, conference spaces and large-scale event areas, serving both business and leisure travelers. As part of Marriott, it follows international standards for hospitality, guest service, cleanliness, safety and employee conduct. The hotel works with a diverse, multicultural workforce and offers opportunities across rooms, food and beverage, culinary, engineering, events, finance and administration. Benefits for overseas employees may include accommodation, transportation, meals, medical insurance, annual leave and return airfare, depending on the employment contract and company policy.

Destination Guide

Qatar is a compact Gulf country rather than an island, with Doha as its main employment and lifestyle center. Hospitality opportunities are available in luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering companies, event venues and tourism services, particularly for housekeeping, food and beverage, culinary, engineering and guest relations staff. The culture is welcoming but conservative: modest clothing, respect for Islamic customs and responsible public behavior are expected. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are pleasant and suitable for outdoor activities, beaches, museums and desert excursions. Most expatriates live in employer-provided accommodation or rented apartments and rely on taxis, buses or cars. Employers generally arrange a work visa and residence permit after hiring; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Confirm sponsorship, accommodation, medical cover, airfare and contract terms before relocating, and keep copies of passports and employment documents.
