Destination Guide

Bali is Indonesia’s best-known island for hospitality careers, with opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, wellness, tourism, events, and finance administration. Jimbaran offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle, beaches, seafood restaurants, temples, and convenient access to Ngurah Rai International Airport, while nearby Kuta, Seminyak, and Nusa Dua provide broader employment options. Balinese culture emphasizes community, ceremony, family, and respectful behavior; appropriate dress is important at temples. Living costs vary, with housing and transport generally higher in popular tourist areas. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate limited-stay work visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers should explain sponsorship, contracts, insurance, tax, accommodation, and relocation support. Indonesia’s regulations can change, so applicants should verify requirements with the employer and Indonesian immigration authorities before moving.
