Sharq Village & Spa, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, is a luxury beachfront resort in Doha, Qatar, operated under Marriott International’s Ritz-Carlton brand. The property combines traditional Qatari architecture and hospitality with high-end accommodation, restaurants, leisure facilities and a well-known spa. It serves business travellers, leisure guests, families, weddings and corporate events, with a strong focus on personalised service and refined guest experiences. As part of Marriott International, the hotel follows global standards for service, training, colleague development and operational excellence. Its workforce is multicultural, reflecting Qatar’s international hospitality sector. Employees may benefit from Marriott’s career opportunities, training programmes and, depending on the position, accommodation, transportation, meals, healthcare and travel-related privileges.
Qatar is a modern Gulf country rather than an island, with Doha as its main employment and lifestyle centre. Hospitality offers opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, aviation and tourism, while HR professionals can also find roles in construction, retail, education and corporate services. The culture values Islamic traditions, family, respect, modest dress and courteous behaviour; Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used. Doha provides international dining, shopping malls, beaches, museums, desert trips and a generally safe lifestyle, though summers are extremely hot. Most overseas employees require employer sponsorship and a work residence permit. The employer normally arranges the employment visa, medical checks, Qatar ID and relocation guidance. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave, flights and contract terms before accepting an offer.
