Destination Guide

Fiji offers hospitality, tourism, engineering, construction, healthcare, education, retail, and marine-related job opportunities, with many roles concentrated around Nadi, Denarau, Suva, and Coral Coast resorts. Fijian culture is welcoming and community-oriented, with strong traditions of family, respect, music, dance, and communal meals. Life is generally relaxed, though imported goods and accommodation in resort areas can be expensive. Outdoor activities include beaches, diving, surfing, hiking, fishing, and island trips. Foreign workers normally need an approved work permit before starting employment; the employer usually supports the application, and requirements can include a contract, qualifications, police clearance, medical checks, and evidence that the role is appropriate for overseas recruitment. Candidates should confirm visa conditions, housing, transport, tax, healthcare, and relocation benefits directly with Marriott before accepting an offer.
