The role requires professional presentation, accurate follow-up, achievement of sales targets, and the ability to work flexibly in a busy resort environment. Experience with Marriott systems, hotel sales, account management or event business is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to be self-motivated, commercially aware, organised, team-oriented and committed to delivering excellent guest and client service.
Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort is a major beachfront resort located on Denarau Island, near Nadi. It is part of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, with a broad portfolio of hotels and resorts across more than 140 countries and territories. Sheraton Fiji offers accommodation, restaurants, bars, conference facilities, recreational activities and access to Denarau’s golf and marina attractions. The resort serves holidaymakers, families, corporate groups, weddings and international events. As a Marriott property, it generally operates with structured service standards, training opportunities, international brand practices and potential career mobility across the group. The workplace combines a high-volume resort setting with Fiji’s warm, relationship-focused hospitality culture.
Fiji offers opportunities in tourism, hotels, food and beverage, aviation, construction, education, healthcare and marine activities, with many roles concentrated around Nadi, Denarau, Suva and the Coral Coast. The culture is welcoming and community-oriented, with strong iTaukei traditions, church and family life, music, dance and kava ceremonies. Lifestyle is generally relaxed, outdoor-focused and social, with beaches, diving, hiking and island travel readily available, although imported goods can be expensive. Most foreign nationals need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment; a visitor permit does not allow work. Employers may assist with documentation, accommodation or relocation, but this should be confirmed in writing. New arrivals should budget carefully, arrange suitable housing, obtain health insurance and check tax, banking and permit requirements before moving.
