Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a highly international destination with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, events and luxury services. Dubai offers an energetic coastal lifestyle, modern infrastructure, beaches, shopping, restaurants and extensive public transport, while Abu Dhabi is generally quieter and more spacious. The culture combines Emirati traditions with communities from around the world; modest dress and respect for local customs are important, especially during Ramadan. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor activities and air-conditioned facilities are central to daily life. Most overseas employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange entry permits, medical tests, Emirates ID processing and work authorization, though responsibilities differ by contract. Before relocating, confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, working hours, leave, probation terms and visa sponsorship in writing.
