Destination Guide

The Philippines offers opportunities in finance shared services, accounting, business process outsourcing, technology, healthcare, tourism, and multinational consulting. Metro Manila, including Taguig and Bonifacio Global City, is the main corporate center, while Cebu and other urban areas provide growing technology and services roles. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, community-minded, and comfortable with English, which is widely used in business. Lifestyle ranges from busy city living and shopping to beaches, diving, hiking, and island travel. Foreign employees usually need an employer-sponsored work visa or appropriate employment permit; requirements depend on nationality, contract, and role. Relocating to Manila involves planning for traffic, housing costs, healthcare, and tropical weather. Taguig is modern and convenient but relatively expensive. Candidates should confirm visa sponsorship, benefits, tax treatment, and relocation support directly with EY before accepting an offer.
