Destination Guide

The Philippines offers employment opportunities in business services, technology, finance, design, customer support, healthcare, tourism, and professional consulting, with major corporate hubs in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, and welcoming, and English is widely used in workplaces. Metro Manila provides extensive career options, shopping, dining, and entertainment, but traffic and living costs can be high. Cebu and Davao offer a slower lifestyle and access to beaches and nature. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, while Filipinos relocating between islands usually need only standard identification and employment documents. New residents should arrange housing, healthcare coverage, banking access, and transportation before arrival. The dry season, roughly November to April, is often preferred for travel, while June to October can bring heavy rain and typhoons.
