Destination Guide

The Cayman Islands offer strong employment prospects in banking, investment funds, accounting, audit, legal services, insurance, hospitality, technology, and professional services. Cayman culture blends Caribbean traditions with a highly international business community, and English is the main language. Residents enjoy warm weather, beaches, water sports, restaurants, and a relaxed outdoor lifestyle, although accommodation, groceries, and transportation can be expensive. Most overseas employees require an employer-sponsored work permit, and the employer generally manages the application and immigration process. A valid passport, medical checks, police clearance, qualifications, and references may be required. Work permits are tied to the sponsoring employer, so changing jobs usually requires approval for a new permit. Candidates should confirm salary, housing support, health insurance, flights, and relocation terms before accepting an offer. Camana Bay provides convenient access to offices, shops, restaurants, and services.
