Destination Guide

Indonesia offers varied career opportunities across Java, Bali, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and other islands. Jakarta, on Java, is the main hub for technology, finance, consulting, logistics, and corporate roles, while Bandung, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta provide growing technology, education, manufacturing, and creative-industry opportunities. Bali is popular for tourism, hospitality, digital businesses, and remote work, though living costs in areas such as Canggu and Seminyak can be high. Indonesia’s culture values community, respect, family, and religious diversity; Bahasa Indonesia is essential for most local workplaces. Lifestyle ranges from busy metropolitan living to relaxed coastal and rural communities, with excellent food and outdoor activities. Foreign nationals usually need an employer-sponsored work visa and appropriate work permit; tourist visas do not authorize employment. Relocating candidates should research housing, healthcare, transport, local registration, taxation, and regional climate before moving.
