The Registered Nurse (RGN) will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing care to residents in a Barchester care home. Company Info

Barchester Healthcare is one of the UK's major providers of residential, nursing, dementia and respite care. Its care homes support older people and individuals with specialist care needs across England, Scotland and Wales. The organisation employs nurses, care assistants, activities staff, hospitality teams and healthcare professionals, with a focus on personalised care, dignity and quality of life. Registered nurses are central to its clinical services, overseeing care plans, medication, health monitoring and communication with families and external professionals. Barchester commonly offers structured induction, professional development and opportunities for progression, although benefits and pay vary by role and location. The company operates in a regulated environment and expects employees to follow care standards, safeguarding procedures, infection-control guidance and NMC professional requirements.

Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers employment opportunities across healthcare, technology, finance, education, hospitality and skilled trades, with particularly strong demand for registered nurses and care professionals. It has a diverse, multicultural society and a well-established public transport network, although living costs are considerably higher in London and parts of southern England. Lifestyle options range from busy cities and historic towns to coastal and rural communities. Nurses from overseas generally need NMC registration, English-language evidence and an appropriate sponsored work visa, commonly the Health and Care Worker visa. Applicants should secure a job offer from an approved sponsor before relocating and check current immigration rules, registration requirements and costs. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have distinct cultures and public services, while all parts of the UK provide access to the NHS. Accommodation, council tax, transportation and heating should be included in relocation budgeting.
