Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers employment opportunities across healthcare, technology, finance, education, engineering and professional services. NHS roles are available throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, although London and other major cities generally have higher living costs. British culture is diverse, with a strong emphasis on privacy, punctuality, fairness and work-life balance; everyday life includes extensive public transport, historic towns, museums, parks and varied regional traditions. Salaries are paid monthly, and renting accommodation is usually the largest expense. Overseas applicants normally need an eligible job offer and a Skilled Worker visa, with sponsorship, salary and English-language requirements applying; healthcare workers may qualify for the Health and Care Worker route. Check current government rules before applying. Relocating candidates should budget for deposits, visa fees, healthcare-related costs and transport, and confirm professional registration requirements where relevant.
