Company Info

Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier of Singapore and one of the world's best-known full-service airlines. Established in 1947, it operates an extensive international passenger network from its hub at Singapore Changi Airport, serving destinations across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the South West Pacific. The group also manages cargo operations, engineering services, aviation training, and related travel businesses. Singapore Airlines is recognised for its service standards, modern fleet, operational reliability, and strong emphasis on employee professionalism. Its cargo division transports freight such as pharmaceuticals, perishables, electronics, and high-value goods through scheduled aircraft capacity and logistics partnerships. Working there can provide valuable exposure to international aviation, customer service, sales coordination, and supply-chain operations, although performance expectations and workplace standards are generally high.

Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city-state with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, finance, technology, healthcare, hospitality, and professional services. Changi Airport and the surrounding aviation sector are major employers, while the port supports extensive maritime and supply-chain activity. The culture is multicultural, organised, and generally fast-paced, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil. Residents enjoy efficient public transport, safe neighbourhoods, excellent healthcare, diverse hawker food, shopping, parks, and easy access to regional destinations. Living costs are high, especially rent, so newcomers often share accommodation or live outside the central districts. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work pass; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience, and the role. Employers usually handle the application, but approval is not automatic. Before relocating, candidates should confirm contract terms, medical coverage, housing costs, transport, and tax obligations. Singapore's tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain.
