Destination Guide

The United Kingdom offers employment opportunities in logistics, transport, warehousing, healthcare, construction, technology, finance and hospitality. Major logistics hubs include London, the Midlands, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and Glasgow. British culture values punctuality, privacy, politeness and clear communication, while workplaces are generally diverse and regulated. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to quieter coastal and rural communities; public transport is strongest in larger cities. Housing and living costs are highest in London and the South East. EU and other overseas nationals should check the latest UK immigration rules before accepting a job. A valid work visa is required unless you hold British or Irish citizenship, settled status or another permission to work. HGV driver sponsorship is not normally available, so candidates should confirm eligibility directly with DHL and the UK government. Relocating requires planning for accommodation, National Insurance, banking, tax registration and a UK driving licence or exchange requirements.
