Account Bank Payments Specialist

Job Description

The Account Bank Payments Specialist supports the accurate and timely processing of account-bank payments, including payment instruction handling, investigation, reconciliation, exception resolution and adherence to operational controls. Candidates are generally expected to have experience in banking or payments operations, strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and familiarity with payment systems, settlement processes and relevant controls. Good communication skills are important because the role involves working with internal teams, clients and other financial institutions. The successful candidate should be organised, comfortable managing deadlines and able to identify and escalate risks or unusual transactions. Knowledge of SWIFT, payment investigations, sanctions requirements and transaction processing would be advantageous. Experience with process improvement, spreadsheets and operating in a regulated environment is also likely to be valued.
