It provides banking, payments, markets, securities services, and wealth-management solutions to corporations, governments, institutions, and individuals in many countries. The Philippines is an important Citi service and operations hub, supporting international businesses through technology, finance, risk, customer service, and back-office teams. Employees typically work in a structured, multinational environment with defined controls, training programs, and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across regions. Citi places strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, information security, operational resilience, and responsible conduct. Its large-scale platforms and global client base make it a suitable workplace for professionals seeking experience in banking operations, data governance, and financial services. Compensation and benefits vary by role, grade, experience, and shift schedule.

Destination Guide

The Philippines offers employment opportunities in banking, business-process services, technology, healthcare, tourism, engineering, and education, with Metro Manila, Cebu, and Clark serving as major hubs. Filipino culture is generally welcoming, family-oriented, and English-friendly; teamwork and respectful communication are valued in the workplace. Manila provides extensive dining, shopping, entertainment, and transport options, although traffic and commuting time can be significant. Cebu and other island destinations offer a more relaxed lifestyle, beaches, and lower living costs, but may have fewer specialized roles. Foreign employees usually need an employer-sponsored work permit and a 9(g) pre-arranged employee visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocating candidates should confirm sponsorship, tax registration, health insurance, accommodation, and document requirements with the employer. Local salaries may be attractive relative to living costs, but housing and transport expenses vary considerably by city.
