Job Description

This role supports Rakuten’s Commerce business by providing legal advice on operational matters, reviewing and drafting contracts, managing legal inquiries, and coordinating with internal teams. Candidates are expected to have a law degree or equivalent legal training, practical experience in corporate, commercial, or technology-related legal work, and strong Japanese and English communication skills. Familiarity with e-commerce, consumer protection, advertising, privacy, and regulatory issues is advantageous. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, commercially aware, responsive, and capable of managing multiple matters in a fast-paced, multinational environment while working effectively with business and operations teams.
