Destination Guide

Japan offers opportunities in technology, software engineering, sales, finance, tourism, education, manufacturing, healthcare, and customer support, with Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka being major employment centers. Work culture values punctuality, reliability, teamwork, and respect for seniority, while international companies may offer more flexible styles. Japan provides excellent public transport, healthcare, safety, food, and urban convenience, though housing and daily expenses can be high in Tokyo. Common work visas include the Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services visa, often used for technology, sales, marketing, and business roles. Applicants normally need a job offer and appropriate academic or professional qualifications. Employers may sponsor the application, but requirements vary. Learning Japanese greatly improves workplace integration and everyday life. Relocating workers should prepare documents, secure housing, arrange health insurance and residence registration, and understand tax and pension obligations.
