Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality and finance opportunities in Metro Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao, and other tourism centers. Hotel jobs range from accounting and administration to front office, culinary, housekeeping, and guest services. Filipino culture is generally welcoming, family-oriented, and community-minded, with English widely used in business and hotels. Lifestyle varies by island: Manila provides extensive career options and urban conveniences, while Cebu, Boracay, and Palawan offer a more relaxed coastal setting but may have higher tourism-season costs. Filipino citizens can work without additional permits. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly an Alien Employment Permit together with a work visa or other approved immigration status. Relocating employees should budget for housing, transport, health insurance, and humid tropical weather, and confirm employer-provided accommodation, meals, relocation support, and visa assistance before accepting an offer.
