Job Description

The Gobernanta/e oversees housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet Meliá’s cleanliness and presentation standards. Typical requirements include previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor or floor manager, knowledge of hotel cleaning procedures, staff coordination, quality control, and health and safety practices. Spanish is generally required, while English or other languages are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to organize daily assignments, inspect rooms, manage linen and supplies, train and support team members, respond professionally to guest needs, and coordinate closely with Front Office and Maintenance. Flexibility, attention to detail, leadership, reliability, and the ability to work during busy seasonal periods are important.
