Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city-state and a leading Asian centre for banking, wealth management, technology, trade, and regional headquarters. Job opportunities are strong in financial services, fintech, cybersecurity, software engineering, compliance, data, healthcare, logistics, and professional services. The culture is multicultural, orderly, and fast-paced, with English widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle options range from efficient public transport, modern housing, and international schools to hawker centres, shopping, parks, beaches, and a lively arts and dining scene. Living costs, especially rent, are relatively high. Professionals usually need an Employment Pass sponsored by an employer; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience, and Singapore’s prevailing assessment criteria. Dependants may qualify for related passes. Before relocating, candidates should research housing, healthcare, taxes, schooling, and pass requirements, and confirm employer support for immigration and relocation.
