Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, technology, finance, logistics, healthcare, hospitality and professional services. The city is multicultural, efficient and widely English-speaking, with Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences visible in its food, festivals and neighbourhoods. Lifestyle options range from modern shopping districts and restaurants to parks, beaches, museums and lively community areas. Public transport is excellent, although accommodation and daily expenses can be high. Foreign professionals generally need an employment pass sponsored by their employer; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience and the role’s requirements. Employers usually assist with applications and relocation arrangements. New arrivals should budget for rent, deposits, transport, healthcare and living costs, and should verify pass conditions before moving. Singapore’s compact size makes commuting convenient, while its regional airport provides easy access to Asia and beyond.
