Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, asset management, fintech, technology, healthcare, logistics and professional services. Its culture is multicultural, efficient and business-oriented, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle options range from modern city living, international restaurants and shopping to parks, beaches and easy regional travel. Public transport is reliable, although housing and daily expenses can be high, especially in central districts. Overseas professionals generally need an employer-sponsored work pass. Managers and senior specialists may qualify for the Employment Pass, subject to salary, qualifications, experience and current eligibility requirements; the employer normally handles the application. Families can explore dependent passes and international schools, while permanent residence is a longer-term option based on eligibility. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and tax registration, and compare neighborhoods such as the city centre, East Coast, Queenstown and the North-East before relocating.
