Destination Guide

Singapore offers strong opportunities in banking, fintech, asset management, compliance, technology, healthcare, logistics and professional services. The financial district around Marina Bay and Raffles Place is home to many regional headquarters and international banks, while Changi Business Park and one-north support technology and innovation roles. The culture is multicultural, orderly and generally fast-paced, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle options range from hawker centres and neighbourhood cafés to shopping, museums, beaches and excellent public transport. Housing is convenient but can be expensive, especially near central districts; renting a room is often more affordable than renting an entire apartment. Foreign professionals normally require an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, subject to salary, qualifications and government assessment. Employers manage most of the application process. Relocating candidates should budget for rent, deposits, healthcare, transport and daily expenses, and verify tax, pass and employment conditions before accepting an offer.
