Job Description

The Senior Officer, Trade Operations (LC Advising) supports the processing and advising of import and export letters of credit. Responsibilities typically include checking trade documents against applicable rules, preparing and issuing LC advice, coordinating with customers and internal teams, handling amendments, maintaining accurate records, and meeting service-level and regulatory requirements. Candidates are generally expected to have a diploma or degree in banking, finance, business, or a related field, with relevant experience in trade finance or documentary operations. Knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, AML requirements, attention to detail, good numerical ability, and strong written and verbal communication are important. The role also requires the ability to work accurately under deadlines and follow strict operational controls.
