Company Info

Tamarind Barbados, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, is a beachfront luxury resort on the west coast of Barbados. It operates under Marriott International’s Autograph Collection brand, whose properties are known for distinctive character, personalized service, and locally inspired experiences rather than a standardized design. Tamarind offers all-inclusive accommodation, restaurants and bars, leisure facilities, watersports, and activities for international visitors. As part of Marriott, the resort follows established global standards for guest service, safety, training, and operational performance while allowing the property to reflect Barbadian culture and hospitality. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment serving leisure travelers, families, couples, and groups. Marriott careers may also provide access to structured learning, internal mobility, employee travel programs, and hospitality benefits, subject to local employment terms and the specific resort’s policies.

Destination Guide

Barbados offers opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, watersports, retail, finance, healthcare, construction, and professional services. The culture blends West African, British, Caribbean, and international influences, with friendly social traditions, music, cricket, festivals, and strong local cuisine. Lifestyle is relaxed but work in resorts can be fast-paced, with shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Popular areas include Bridgetown, the west coast, and the south coast; housing and transport costs can be high near major resort zones. Foreign nationals generally need a job offer and an appropriate work permit before employment, with the employer commonly supporting the application. A passport, qualifications, references, police clearance, medical documentation, and proof of funds or accommodation may be requested. Confirm current immigration rules with Barbados Immigration Department before relocating. Health insurance, housing, transport, meals, and relocation assistance vary by employer and should be clarified in the offer.
